Close the Atlanta City Detention Center

Following the leadership of Women on the Rise GA and the Communities Over Cages: Close the Jail ATL Campaign, we have joined the campaign’s Alliance to focus on closing the Atlanta City Detention Center (ACDC), demolish the building, and have a Center of Equity, Wellness and Freedom built in its place. All of the people detained at ACDC are there for nuisance offenses like loitering, and 9 out of 10 are Black. This campaign's purpose is to pressure the Mayor and the City Council to close the jail. Stimulus Check Redistribution

A mutual aid initiative where we encourage our White members and followers with stable incomes and needs met to redistribute part or all of their stimulus checks to Black and Latinx led organizations. We have redistributed to Free99Fridge a network of community solidarity fridges and Familias Unidas a worker-led coalition supporting Gainesville poultry workers and their families.
